This year New York's Thanksgiving parade took place on November 26th. Huge helium balloons were walked through the streets of New York. According to Wikipedia.com, the tradition started in 1924.
This year the parade featured 1,500 dancers, cheerleaders, singers and performers; 24 floats; 10 marching bands;15 giant character balloons; 35 novelty or ornament balloons, balloon heads and balloonicles; 800 clowns; and a slew of celebrity performers.
Just to give you an idea: the performers among others were Andrea Bocelli, Sara Hughes, Marley with Judah Marley, DJ Lance Rock and Bello.
